The Ark of Life was founded by Rev. William McGowen in 1994. He
purchased the building at 810 Collins St in Dayton, TX.
Rev. William McGowen was always invested in the community and for
years was a great leader with great vision. Rev. William served
alongside his wife Betty and his brother Rev. Amos McGowen until his
death. After his death in 2016 Rev. William McGowen’s wife Betty June
McGowen continued his mission at the Ark of Life and after almost 7
years, Founder Betty June McGowen prayed about who would become
God’s pastor for The Ark of Life Ministries.

Betty McGowen believes that God will never disappoint the believing
expectations of those who wait to hear what he will say to them.
God’s Word tells us in Habakkuk 2:3 the vision is yet for an appointed
time . . . The vision is to have its appointed day, and at the end it will speak, and
it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it
will not tarry. In July 2022, God appointed Quanidos D. McGowen as Pastor of The
Ark of Life Ministries for such a time as this. God chose Pastor
Quanidos’s gifts, leadership and his heart for the Lord, for this exciting
new chapter in our church.

This indeed is a great moment for The Ark of Life and as Pastor
McGowen and his wife Djuna answers this calling to faithfully lead the
congregation as he passionately teaches how to effectively live in the
kingdom. On earth as it is in heaven.
