Our Beliefs
GOD
We believe in one God, Creator and ruler of the universe. The Father, The Son and
the Holy Spirit, co-equal, three in one.
Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; | 2 Corinthians 13:14 | Psalm 90:2 Proverbs 30:5
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity, dwells in
every believer immediately after he places his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
and that God provides, through the Holy Spirit, power to live the Christian
life.
Romans 5:5; 8:1-9; | Galatians 5:16-25
We believe that every believer receives grace from God in the form of
spiritual gift, which enables him to function as a member of the body of
Christ.
Romans 12:6 | 1 Corinthians 12:7 | Ephesians 4:7
SALVATION
We believe that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again
spiritually, and that the new birth of the believer comes only through faith in
the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
An unmerited gift, given in love by God and not the result of any human
works.
John 3:17-18; | 2 Corinthians 5:21 | Galatians 3:13 | Romans 4:4-5
LORD’S SUPPER / COMMUNION
We believe The Lord’s Supper is the ordinance of the church. It was instructed
when the Lord had the Passover meal before His crucifixion. We observe the
Lord’s Supper on a regular basis in remembrance of Jesus Christ’s atonement for
our sins. We ask only those who have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ to
participate in the Lord’s Supper. The elements of bread and grape juice are used as symbols of Christ’s body that was broken and His blood that was shed in payment
for our sins.
1 Corinthians 11:23-32 | Matthew 26:26-29 | John 6:53-59
RESPONSIBILITY OF BELIEVERS
We believe that all believers in God should seek to walk by the Holy Spirit,
in truth of the Holy Scripture.
Romans 12:1 | Galatians 5:16, 25 | 2 Corinthians 5:9-17
KINGDOM LIVING
The goal of our church is to visibly model God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in
heaven.
Ephesians 2:19 | Philippians 3:20
BAPTISM
We believe in the ordinance of Baptism by immersion in the Name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost as commanded in the Scriptures, shall be administered to all
those who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of their souls and who give
clear evidence of their fruit.
Matthew 28:19 | Colossians 2:12
